Liebster Award!

I'm feeling super loved today;  My friend Megan over at Galumphing in High Heels nominated me for one of those little blogger awards called the Liebster Award.  It may not be a huge deal, but I was honored nonetheless.  Thanks Megan!!  So here are the rules, because you know I am so participating!
"Liebster" means dearest in German, and it's awarded, blogger to blogger, to up-and-coming blogs with less than 200 followers.  The rules for accepting and giving the award are pretty simple.  Once you accept the award, you just have to do the following in a blog entry:

Answer the 11 questions posted by the nominator on her blog
Give 11 facts about yourself
Nominate 5-11 other new, up-and-coming blogs with less than 200 followers
Make up 11 more questions to pass on to the bloggers you choose to nominate
Thank your nominator by linking back to her blog
Upon your post going live, contact your nominees about your nomination for them

The questions I am to answer:
1. What is your favorite vegetable?
Corn on the cob, green beans, and grilled asparagus.  YUMO!  And potatoes.  Potatoes are a veggie, right?  Don't answer that, dumb question, I know.  :)  On the opposite end of that question, I can't stand carrots!!  Unless they are super, super cooked.

2. What is your favorite childhood memory?
I had an awesome childhood, so I don't know if I can pin it down to just one favorite memory.  I guess I'll go with getting snow days in Maryland.  (You don't get snow days here in Utah.  Well, you do, if there's 8 feet of snow on the roads and still dumping.)  (slight exageration, but not really)  One snow day my older brother packed snow onto our slide, and we all slid down it on some plastic sacks.  So much fun!!

3. What is one thing you cannot go a day without using?
My toothbrush.  :)

4. Which season is your favorite and why?
All growing up my favorite season was winter!  Infact, I dreamt of a winter wedding... January should've been  the perfect winter wedding, but alas it was 70 degrees on our wedding day, in the middle of January!  Yeah, no snow I know of sticks around in 70 degree weather.  Oh well.  Ever since moving up to the mountains, winter is no longer my favorite season anyhow.  I now love spring the most.  Definitley spring.  :)

5. What is your favorite movie?
I LOVE too many movies to have a favorite!  But some that I could watch over and over again: Ever After,  A Little Princess  (not the version with Shirley Temple),  The Secret Garden,  the Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings series,  Mavrick, The Count of Monte Cristo, Second Hand Lions, The Italian Job,  A Knights Tale, Oceans Eleven, all of the Pirate movies... WOW, I got a little carried away, sorry.  I guess I'll stop now, I could probably go on for a while.

6. What has been your favorite Halloween costume?
Um, I dunno.  I love getting to mix it up every year.  Halloween is so FUN!  But one of my most memorable costumes is when I dressed up as a pirate with Mr. B.  Why was it so memorable?  Well, it's the only time I can recall when Mr. B WILLINGINLY dressed up with me, AND it was also the same costume that my then future mother-in-law told me I looked like a sex kitten.  Yes, you read that right.  Should I be admitting that??  I was dumbstruck when she told this to me.  I think it left Mr. B speachless too.  LOL.  Not to fret, I absolutely LOVE my MIL.  This comment just made me rethink my costumes from then on.  haha!  And I don't know, I didn't think my cosutme was THAT scandalous  what do you think?
Ok, forget I asked, don't answer that.  But man, look how young we were!  This is also the night we announced our engagement to the family.  And no, Mr. B didn't style his hair like Alfalfa, that's a split in the curtain behind him, no time to photoshop at the moment.  ;)

7. What is your favorite physical feature?
I'd have to say my eyebrows.  So I think I have nice eyebrows, that's not weird or anything.

8. Where is one place you'd like to visit?
Seriously, Megan, what's with all the questions that can't be narrowed down to one!?  ;)
New Zealand, Australia, and Ireland, just to name a few.

9. Chick Flick or Action?
Depends on my mood.  But generally a Chick Flick.

10. What is your most embarrassing moment?
I'm going to go ahead and count the answer to question number 6 as a double answer for this question. ;0)

11. What did you want to be growing up?
It changed all the time, but usually jumped from an artist/children's book illustrator/writer, Librarian, or Animal Trainer at Sea World.  I'm obviously none of those today, but I couldn't have lucked out any better in life.  Being a Mom is the best job in the world!  :)

Eleven facts about myself, (because you didn't learn enough about me already)  ;)
1.  I have favorite letters.  If you're curious, they are: E, Q, R, and S.
2.  I'm a big Disney Fan.  I've only lost once, or twice, to the game "Disney Seen It."  true story.
3. I wish I could go to Disneyland twice a year.
4. I should add a "Disney Princess" to the list of things I want to be when I grow up.
5. I love it when I suceed in making Mr. B laugh.
6. My favorite sound is the sound of my children laughing hysterically.
7. I'm HORRIBLE at spelling, and grammar for that matter.
8. I am a Mormon.  I know it, I live it, I love it.
9.  I'm well known as the "dumb blonde" in my family.
10.  Mr. B and I only knew each other for roughly 6 months before we were married.  (3 months of dating, and 3 months to plan the wedding)
11.  Mr. B and I have "matching" middle names.

My Questions for my Nominees:
1. What's your favorite smell, and why?
2. What was your favorite childhood toy?
3. Would you rather live in a cozy cottage, or an extrodinary castle?
4. Sweet or Salty?  Or both?!
5. Have you ever broken a bone?  If so, how?
6.  What has been your favorite age thus far in life, and why?
7. Were you named after anyone?
8. What is the first thing you notice about people?
9. What is the farthest you have been from home?
10. What was your favorite subject in school?
11. What is your favorite home cooked meal?

I'm going to go ahead and follow Megan's lead and nominate some bloggers who I think check this blog every now and again :)  Some of them may have more than 200 readers, but I'm going to break the rules here, infact, I'm going to allow my nominees to break some of the rules too if they wish to participate;  this took me a little longer to complete than I anticiapted (still grateful though!!), so feel free to cut back on how many questions you answer, how many facts you want to share, and how many questions you ask to those who you nominate.  And I promise I understand if you don't have the time to participate!  Just know that I love you, and your blogs!!  :)  Ok, so my nominees are:
Catherina at Catherina's Creative Corner
Lindsay at Country Girl Home
Nikkie at Adventure is Out There
Kelsea at Cody and Kelsea Our Happily Ever After
and last but not least, Susette at Heart Strings by Susette.
